I would like to debug my app using rubymine debugger. A protip by zigomir about ruby, rails, debug, rubymine, visual debug, and remote ruby debug. Rubymine brings a sophisticated debugger with a graphical ui for ruby, js, and coffeescript.

You can debug everything from.rb scripts to.erb and.haml views. Beware to set correct host or just set it to 0.0.0.0 which will listen to all connections on port 1234. I am pretty new to ruby which is making the process much harder, but more important that i get it working!! To convert file separation patterns on ruby which i don't know yet, and the fact that the project folder has to be on your container root also makes the solution not a great solution.

Debugging rails 3 using rubymine i'm using rubymine to develop a rails3 application, but i cannot manage to get the debugger working.

The reason for this is heavily in part select the terminal from the bottom of rubymine.

Unfortunately, rubymine's offers remote debugging configurations that (at the moment) don't allow to hook into a running instance.
